PROCESS
At an initial meeting, we discuss all aspects of the project and get an understanding of how you would like to live in the house, your project parameters and where the tupperware will be stored.
INITIAL CONCEPT & FLOOR PLANS
From our briefing, we put together a photographic mood board which demonstrates the design direction. This includes ideas for the overall look and feel, as well as specifics such as the kitchen design, bathrooms, joinery, design features, finishes and architectural details.
We design and review layouts and plans, incorporating furniture, including any existing pieces and seeing where we can make improvements and add some interior magic. Once this has all been discussed with the clients, we use the feedback to develop the next stages.
DEVELOPED CONCEPT & 3D MODELLING
By incorporating all of the client’s feedback, the concept becomes more detailed and specific such as the style of the doors, architraves and cornices, joinery, finishes, fireplace proposals, bathroom fixtures and fittings – essentially everything that you can see and touch.
At this stage we have developed the floorplans into a 3D model and started to include design elements and features, as well as reviewing all aspects of the layout with the client and wider design team.
The 3D model is developed and refined throughout the process and is an incredibly useful tool, enabling clients to understand the proposed designs from every angle.
FINISHES & FIXTURES
The next stage is to confirm all the finishes & fixtures (and what finishes the fixtures are in!). This usually includes showroom and supplier visits, as well as meetings at our studio where we have an extensive library of all types of finishes. We also review the key finishes on site to ensure that they will work in the spaces and ensure the overall scheme is cohesive.
SCHEDULES & TENDER INFORMATION
This is the production of all information required for the interiors in a suitable format for tender and pricing purposes. This includes drawings packs, architectural details, finishes schedules, bathroom & joinery schedules and design details for all elements of the interior design.
CONSTRUCTION
During the construction phase, we attend the project team meetings and, once the project is starting to approach first fix, we attend the site meetings and review relevant contractor progress on site.
Ever evolving site conditions can present the occasional challenge, and there are always on-site design decisions to be made. We help guide our clients through this process with our positivity and technical acumen.
Our site presence and involvement in projects through to completion allows us to deliver a high level of detail and quality to ensure all of our client’s wishes are captured, creating a beautiful bespoke home, tailored entirely to them.
SOFT FURNISHING DESIGN
Soft furnishings includes anything from furniture, rugs and decorative lighting, to window treatments and accessories.
When preparing decorative schemes, we source from a wide range of suppliers. All items are handpicked specifically to our client’s brief. The result is an interior with a highly individual style, unique to the client and project.
We discuss how much the clients want to spend and then create a cost plan for all furniture elements as per the brief. We review and agree the costs before specifying, as this ensures that we are designing and specifying within budget. This also includes the refurbishment/recovering of any existing furniture as required.
